Applications Overview

Setex was developed to mimic the design and properties of setae, the millions of nano-scale hairs that cover gecko’s foot pads that give them their impressive ability to climb up walls.

People are amazed when they first see Setex material in action and can imagine countless applications for the unique technology.  It is a dry non-tacky film, yet acts like adhesive tape when pressed against a hard, smooth surface.  It can strongly bond repeatedly for thousands of cycles without leaving residue.  It can increase the grip between skin and other items even when wet and oily. Setex’s attributes vary based on its implementation as an adhesive or gripping material, and it can be customized to meet various design needs across a variety of applications.

While the applications for the platform technology are extensive and ever-expanding, the ones presented here are the current focus of Setex.
