Job Purpose:
Responsible for the production, packaging, and overall presentation and quality of the innovative
gecko-inspired high friction Setex Grip products from our Pittsburgh-based startup!

This Production job is located in-person in Lawrenceville during flexible daytime shift hours (between 8am-4pm, M-F). The individual will perform duties related to product manufacturing, packaging, and routine quality checks. The worker will be trained and learn relevant processes in accordance with safe practices and product requirements. The processes in question will include packaging, manual assembly of small parts, labelling, heat sealing, and may also include adhesive priming, adhesive lamination, die cutting, quality inspections, and other manufacturing operations as needed. The role is intended to be low-stress, but applicants must demonstrate attentiveness to detail and a dedication to accuracy and quality. Setex Grip products are often small (such as nose pads for eyeglasses), requiring good dexterity to manipulate.

Principal (Essential) Duties:
1. Build product based on bills of materials and manufacturing orders.
2. Operate simple manual, pneumatic and electric equipment as needed.
3. Work with engineering team to test processes changes.
4. Prepare finished goods for shipment.
5. Maintain and enter data accurately for record keeping in accordance with company procedures.
6. Maintain accurate inventory counts of raw materials, manufacturing consumables and finished products
7. Practice good housekeeping, organization and safety

2. Comfortable learning to use new equipment
3. Able to work independently and as part of a team; capable of building good-mannered working
relationships with co-workers
4. Good communication skills to raise concerns and ask questions

Setex Technologies is a small Pittsburgh-based materials manufacturing start-up that spun out of research at CMU about how gecko feet stick to surfaces. We manufacture consumer device accessories for enhanced grip as well as industrial adhesives, right here in Lawrenceville.
